Weight Loss and Alcohol

Staying away from alcohol calories is tough for a lot of people. When you have friends over you like to have a few beer with them. You might like to have a glass of wine with supper at a restaurant. You may plan to drink all weekend at family reunions or on holidays.

It doesn’t matter what the reason is that you drink, but it’s important to know that alcohol does contain a lot of calories. One Bud Light beer is the equivalent to one tablespoon of butter! So if you go out to the bar and drink about 4 beer, imagine yourself eating at least 4 tablespoons of butter instead.

Alcohol also increases your appetite, hence the midnight pizza deliveries at parties, or nachos and hot wings at the bar.

I’m not saying that you need to give up alcohol completely, I just ask that you understand how it can sabotage your diet if it’s not used in moderation.

Here’s an enlightening article about weight loss and alcohol.
