So many companies are now putting “Fat Free” and other marketing phrases on their packages. But if you check the nutritional information, you’ll notice that these foods are packed with sugar and loads of preservatives, not to mention tons of ingredients that are impossible to pronounce. Doesn’t that kind of defeat the purpose of trying to be healthy? So many people make the mistake of choosing these products thinking that they are going to lose weight or get healthy by eating them.
Another thing that we tend to do – eat more of the “fat free” products because we think that they are better for us. But we all know that too much of a good thing can be bad. And “fat free” cookies aren’t necessarily a good thing to begin with.
Don’t worry about choosing normal foods without the fat free label. Just make sure you eat it in reasonable portions. And before you head to the checkout counter, read the labels to make sure you’re getting the proper nutrition from each product.
