Tip For Eating More Fruit

Do you get home from the grocery store and immediately put the fruit away in the fridge drawer?

A lot of people, especially kids, have the “out of sight, out of mind” syndrome. By keeping the fruit hidden in the fridge, you and your kids are more likely to forget about it. Many an apple has gone rotten by doing this.

Instead of putting the fruit away in the fridge, cut it up as soon as you get home so that it’s easily accessible and ready to eat. Store it in a container (clear ones are best) in the fridge. For fruits such as apples, bananas and grapes – these can be kept in a bowl on the counter or table.
