Hidden Sugar

Hopefully, you read the nutrition labels on your food packages before you eat anything. However, it may be hard to tell just how much sugar you’re really eating because it’s labeled in grams.

To figure out how many teaspoons of sugar you’re eating or drinking, divide the amount in grams by 4. For example, if a can of soda has 40 grams of sugar, you’re eating 10 teaspoons of sugar. That’s a lot!

Can you imagine eating 10 teapoons of sugar? And if you drank 4 cans of soda, that’s 40 teaspoons of sugar! I bet you’ll think twice before reaching for another can, right?
