I’ve been a subscriber to one of John Reese’s newsletters for quite some time. John is a very well known internet marketer and a self-made millionaire. He expects to be a BILLIONAIRE in another 15-25 years. Pretty amazing.
So what does this have to do with you and weight loss?
Nothing much. But I just wanted to let you know about a video he just posted on his blog. Its a 67 minute video about how he ‘reboots’ his brain. He’s been using this method for years now, and he claims that its the key to his success in life. I listened intently to the whole thing and I have to say that I’m pretty excited to get started on his ‘8-step plan’.
He even makes a comment about weight loss that I’d like to share with you. I’m not easily offended, so I actually found his quote a little humerous. If it does offend you however, I’m truly sorry. You can send me a nasty email if you like. I just thought what he had to say was pretty interesting and thought provoking if you take it the way he intends you to take it.

“…if you’re overweight and unhappy about it, the best thing you can do is get up every single day and weigh yourself and beat yourself up over it.
I hate to say it, some people may not agree with me, and I don’t mean to be cruel to people that maybe have health issues that keep them from losing weight like gland problems or other things.
I’m not saying that if you really don’t honestly have a way to lose weight that you need to beat yourself up over it. Of course you don’t need to beat yourself up over anything – its not healthy. I was kind of exaggerating that phrase.
But, if you’re overweight and you’re not happy, weigh yourself constantly – constantly remind yourself. Take a picture of your big fat face and put it on your big fat wall and face your big fat reality. Look at it, every day. Say there I am – I’m fat. And I don’t like it, and I want to do something about it.
Weigh yourself every day. ‘I’m 292 pounds. It’s what makes me the most unhappy in life. It’s the one thing that I desire that I didn’t have that was different.’ Face it – stop sweeping it under the rug.”

You can watch the whole video here if you’d like to hear what he said in better context.

I promise you its not as insulting as it sounds. In fact, I think his method of ‘rebooting your brain’ can really help with your weight loss as well as everything else you’ve got going in your life.
I also just want to mention that I’m not out to make money here, and neither is John. He’s an honest guy who just wants to help you, and I’d like to help him help you!
Its completely free to watch the video. You don’t have to sign up for anything, download anything, or buy anything. The only materials you’ll require are a pen, some note pads and a quiet corner where you won’t be disturbed.
I’m anxious to try his method out as soon as I have the chance. Looking after 3 kids during the day while my husband is working out of the province doesn’t leave me with much time to myself. But I’m hoping I’ll have a few hours tonight after the kiddies are in bed to sit down and follow John’s 8 steps.
I’ll let you know how I make out.
